Jeanine T. Lauer

Controller and Chief Financial Officer

With 18 years of accounting experience, Jeanine Lauer knows the importance of "the big picture" when it comes to finance. Lauer directs financing, budgeting and accounting practices at Bell, regularly keeping company leaders informed of both consistency and change. "I compile financial reports to let Gary Kirt (Bell's owner and Chief Executive Officer) know how we're doing."

Lauer has to keep a close eye on the clock as well. "In such a changing market, a simple mistake can cost thousands of dollars. We make sure mortgage packages are delivered on time, which is not always easy." Lauer says Bell employees work hard to satisfy; despite the fact every borrower is different. "A loan is not over until it's over. Bell employees do everything they possibly can to get each customer into the home of his or her choice."

Despite the deadlines and pressures of her job, Lauer will smile when you ask her why she enjoys working at Bell. "The people who work here are upbeat and constantly coming up with creative ways to do quality work." Lauer says she's also enjoyed working for Bell's owner Gary Kirt. "He is a true entrepreneur."

Before coming to Bell, Lauer spent two years as Senior Accountant at McMichael & Kofski, Ltd. She then moved on to serve as Audit Senior at Pannell Kerr Forster Worldwide. Lauer has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1988.

When Lauer is not at work, she takes on the role of soccer mom. She says her children and their activities keep her quite busy, although she does manage to sneak in a run everyday. Lauer lives in Plymouth with her husband and three children.
